The Audience

Axle Contemporary is pleased to present a collaborative interactive artwork by internationally renowned video pioneers Steina and Woody Vasulka, mathematician Rob Shaw, and Axle Contemporary. Järmark is inspired by old-time Czech summer festivals of Woody's youth, traveling fairs, booths, arcades, sideshows, and funhouse mirrors. Participate as a video camera takes your picture, distorts it via binary chaos, then projects it on the side of a building. Dance, spin, and wave in this interactive photo booth and watch the machines change your reality.  We'll also have Chris Shaw's new interactive 3-D "Icarus" on view inside the mobile gallery.
